Mother's Day Wish: Spa-like Bath

What mom wouldn’t want to relax in a spa-like bath on Mother’s Day? Pampering our mothers is one of our favorite ways to celebrate. What makes a bath feel luxurious? A bathtub with jets? A spacious shower - maybe with steam? Pretty fixtures?

We’ve designed quite a few bathrooms over the years. These elements comprise a spa-like bath:

  • Reconfiguring spaces to improve the function and flow of the space

  • Soaking tub with or without jets

  • Spacious showers with benches

  • Luxury materials, i.e. marble, glass, porcelain, copper, and more

  • Beautiful fixtures

  • Storage solutions that keep spaces uncluttered

  • Good lighting – natural and ambient

By expanding the footprint of a Wayland primary bath, we were able to create space for a soaking, jet tub with a generous deck. The inset tile area lights up with different colored LED bulbs for extra fun. On the other end of the bathroom, a spacious steam shower offers another luxury experience. The calming neutral colors make this primary bath a relaxing space.

Evolution of a Spa-like Bath

New clients in Natick wanted to renovate and update their primary bath. We reconfigured the space within the same footprint, gaining square footage by removing an existing closet within the bathroom. We added a walk-in shower and repositioned one of the vanities and the soaking tub while creating new storage space. Images of the finished space coming this summer!

Creating the spa experience at home

If you can’t get to the spa with your mom, we suggest you create the spa experience with a gift basket for your mom’s bath or add some of these items to yours:

Happy Mother’s Day!
